edge of the frame to the outer wall of the wheel

well is 30" allowing space for relocating the on-

Image shows the truck with the rear box

removed and re-constructed to the rear of the

cab. This would make the truck inoperable

because the engine and transmission would

have to be removed to expand food handling

into this area. There are advantages to this to

consider. If you had a location to permanently

set up your food truck then you could remove

and sell the engine, transmission and drive train.

There would not be the expense of annual

registration, inspection fees, liability

insurance or the requirement for a

Commercial Drivers License to drive

the truck. The large tow trucks used to

move semi-trucks are also used to tow

these fire trucks.

This image of the right side of the truck

shows off its length. Note the hydraulic

stabilizers that extend from two points

on each side of the truck. These could

be left in place to use as a structural

element for a deck or sold. These keep

the truck stable when its 105 ft. ladder

is extended and platform is rotated.
